1. Tell us more about Sustainable Pavement Design.

Let's start with what does sustainable pavement mean. It may have different meanings from road agencies, public users, pavement designers. That is why I would like to focus on every aspect that we can do as individuals to make our pavements sustainable. At PMS we look for perpetual pavement designs, innovative pavement materials, routine maintenance instead of reconstruction, insitu recycling process, in order to achieve more sustainable pavement design. All leading to preserve one of our most valuable assets, the road infrastructure, and the pavement structure.

2. In April it’ is going to be 11 years since you are with us, what keeps you motivated?
Pavement Management Services is a Pavement Engineers' dream. When I started working in South America, I could only dream of having ARANs and FWDs available anytime I needed. I am very happy to be at PMS because I know it offers challenging opportunities, allows me to deliver a first class service and brings out my best.

I love running because it gives you the freedom and you can do it anywhere and anytime.

  2. Why did you choose civil engineering?
I chose to become a civil engineer because I wanted to improve people's safety on the roads and reduce fatalities. As a civil engineer, your work influences where people work, relax, learn, and live. I wanted to be part of building a more advanced society.
